Here are some pictures of my 2200 pumper. I had all the parts spread over my
home and work so thought it was time to assemble the rifle so that parts wouldn't
get lost over time. I took a few pictures of the gun disassembled and took some
while assembling the airgun for those who may have trouble putting this rifle
back together.
I DO NOT encourage anyone to take this rifle apart unless they want the hassle
of trying to get the rifle back together. It does take some skill and a few attempts
to get the parts to align to get the gun back together.
Assembling the Crosman 2200 Magnum
Pictures are large format when clicked and page will load a little slow.
Almost all the parts disassembled.
The probe and investment casted block that holds the barrel.
Trigger assembly, hammer and valve.
Trigger, Sear and spring. I show the safety as well.
Here is a shot of the safety engaged and off.
The breech block, pellet probe and mounted the barrel. The barrel
is a rather loose fit secured by a set screw. You can see how much gap there
is on the mounting of the barrel.
Again, here is the valve taken apart and assembled.
Placing the half cover on the other prying the spring and safety
so that the cover will close. A tricky thing to do and takes some patience.
Assembling the pump. All is held together by a spring pin.
A plastic cover completes the pump assembly and also has pins that
secure the barrel shroud. There isn't a lot securing the barrel and is why
these rifles aren't that accurate.
The original sites where taken off and replaced with
with an aluminum insert that holds the barrel in center.
Hope this helps some of you assemble your rifle and also for others to see how Crosman
builds these rifles. Please do not email about the assembly of this rifle. I will
not be posting more pictures and assisting anyone with their trouble to get the rifle
back together.
